Trying again with another file, I changed that line to get the slashee
that worked in my file:
# reverse the slashes in case SlimServer was running on UNIX
$searchTerms{location} =~ s/\\/\//g;
This seems to work for me. I may make another change specific to my
situation (the drive info at the beginning of each line includes the
windows drive letter). Again, still testing, but seems to work.
