I've never experienced that. The Bridge does regular "mDNS discoveries" and this is where the player should respond. I'm not aware of another method to discover the device and on purpose, even there is an entry in the config file, I do not create the virtual player until I've discover the physical device (I need their IP address). Could it be that you have a network configuration where, for example, a PLC or some switch is in standby mode and does not forward mDNS discover requests? That might not affect the Google Home discovery because I assume it's a wifi-to-wifi connection, so it "stays in" your access point LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
