Have you tried the one on the mplayerhq.hu site http://www1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/MPlayerOSX_1.0rc1.dmg
1.0rc1 is a later revision than 1.0pre8 For AlienBBC you need to get the real mplayer application and not the gui frontend which is at the top.
