The problem with submitting radio-sourced material is that the data does not help to build a good representation of user preferences on Last.FM. The music is selected by the raio operator and not the user, therefore even items that aren't liked will be included. This will vary from person to person of course.
Random Play of a diverse collection has the same "problem" of course. And it's only a problem depending on your definition/use of Last.FM. Personally, I don't see an issue with it as I'm not a Last.FM elitest like some of the freaks posting to their forums. I use Last.FM for person reasons/purposes and could care less what someone else thinks of my listening habits or whether or not they consider I'm trying to spam the results by listening for over 20 hours per day. -- MelonMonkey Bruno *'Twisted Melon - Fine Mac OS Software' (http://twistedmelon.com) | 'mira - Personal Control for your Apple Remote' (http://twistedmelon.com)* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MelonMonkey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27161 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
