You can directly edit config.txt by placing the SD card into a reader
and loading the file.  This file (along with a few others) will persist,
so you can directly enter the Waveshare info there.  However, this will
only work for boot configuration info, it will NOT work for you xorg
config files.  Have you had any luck on creating those?  As far as I can
tell piCore does not store X files in the usual etc folder.
