I am running this version: Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1504317335 @ Mon Sep 4 22:13:00 UTC 2017 on a Synology NAS.
I think that should be fine. Let's check your server.log first. Please uploade it here (See Settings/Information).
