There is something that's likely an issue: I've seen that on repositioning of 16/44.1 files, there is no flac header, so the bridge adds one where on higher res system, with rates not supported by the player, a header is present. That seems consistent with a re-encoding made by lms while when the file is at a rate accepted by the player, LMS simply truncates the file I will continue to verify the header I'm added, but every time I've checked, they seem correct. The difference between a file header and an on-the-fly header is that some global file size and other checksum can not be added on the fly, but again, when doing transcoding the same situation happen and players do not seem affected (that's why your flac-to-flac rule works) I wish I could put my hands on one of these problematic players, but all the ones I have seem to be happy with the headers I'm adding. There is surely a problem there and surely a solution as the re-encoding rules works ...
