Thanks again for your continuous help. Unfortunately, your suggestion
is way over my head. I just started using Slimserver, let alone doing
any programmingÂ….. Could you break it down a bit further so a dummy
like me can understand it better? What puzzles me a bit is that since
the OS I use (XP Pro SP2) is a very common I would assume that the
plugin should work without the need for any backslash to slash changes.


I also did some more reading on the forum and found out how to activate
the debugging option. I have been logging the d_plugins event, after
e.g. hitting the play command:
<snip>
Execute: Play Started
Execute: Executing test.cmd
<snip>

It seems that the script is being executed properly, correct?  Do I
need to change anything in the OS settings, rather than the plugin??


BTW: this is what the script contains: mkdir test  
Again it nicely creates a folder called test, but only if I double
click on it, but not through the execute.pm command.
