Martin, if you're still looking for alternatives to weather.com, this
might work: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/wrh/prototypedf_tab.php

It's a (likely US-only, unfortunately) NOAA tool that produces
forecasts in a few different formats, including XML. Configurable
forecast length and interval. Here's a snippet of today's forecast for
Portland, Oregon:

<validTime>12</validTime>
<minTemp units="degrees F"> 30</minTemp>
<temperature units="degrees F"> 31</temperature>
<dewpoint units="degrees F"> 30</dewpoint>
<rh units="percent"> 96</rh>
<skyCover units="percent"> 84</skyCover>
<windSpeed units="mph"> 6</windSpeed>
<windDirection units="angular degrees">100</windDirection>
<pop units="percent"> 77</pop>
<qpf units="inches">0.01</qpf>
<wx>Occasional Rain</wx>

Cheers,
Roca
