Roon doesn't work with a signal from the transporter, it's actually the other way round. Roon, for all intents and purposes, replaces LMS. I'd advise you to either - connect a Raspberry Pi with Roon endpoint software (http://www.ropieee.org/) and some kind off DAC HAT (Hifiberry, Allo Boss, IQAudio, ...) to your receiver - just connect your laptop through HDMI to your receiver.
