Found the problem. I learned about Spotify Connect in the LMS settings when I opened: player->spotty spotify for squeezebox. This morning I went to: plugins->Spotty->settings. I saw that the following was checked: "Don't announce Squeezebox players running in Spotify Connect mode in your network. Check this option if you don't want your Spotify Connect enabled Squeezebox player to show up in all Spotify apps in your network" So sorry about that, I unchecked this option and it all seems to working! But perhaps this option should be unchecked by default when someone selects Spotify Connect via plugins->Spotty->settings.
