Thanks for the reply.

It seems that though mplayer is installed, apt-get has not put it in
the right place for slimserver to find it.

There is no /usr/share/slimserver/Bin directory - so heres my problem!

Can you help me to sucsessfully wget & tar the mplayer bz2 from
mplayerhq?

This is what I get (from any arechive) downlaoded from there:

SX260:~# tar -xvjf MPlayer-1.0rc1.tar.bz2
tar: bzip2: Cannot exec: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
SX260:~#
SX260:~#tar -tvf MPlayer-1.0rc1.tar.bz2
tar: This does not look like a tar archive
tar: Skipping to next header
tar: Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers
tar: Read 7173 bytes from MPlayer-1.0rc1.tar.bz2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

If I can do the manual install of mplayer (in the right place) and make
sure mplayer.sh is executable by slimserver, I think It'll be
cracked...

Thanks
