I think one problem could be that crontab does not have the same environment like a logged-in user, e.g. path, variables... If none of the conventional solutions works, a workaround could be to run musicIP always as root not, as OSMC user. In that case, the database needs to be copied to the home folder of root and there under the subfolder .Musicmagic (will be created automatically if you start musicip as root) and the configuration and other relevant files need to be copied to this folder as well. The startup script mmserver needs to be adapted to run musicip as root as well. This approach worked for me with a Raspian installation some time ago. Slartibartfast is right that the tutorial in the first post most probably contains a bug concerning the mmserver scipt. The mmserver in the MusicIP home folder should contain the same code like the mmserver in the init.d folder (except the header for the init.d daemon). I will update the tutorial once I can reconfirm this (most probably when I will play around some ideas with Stretch and a Raspian-based Distribution in the upcoming weeks) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ frankd's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52885 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106958 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
