Michael, I can report that Spotty is now working. I do not know exactly what made the difference but I accept it was in my network. It makes no sense to me but yesterday I took delivery of a new modem/router for my network. It came from my new internet service provider who I changed over to on Wednesday. The Spotty problem was still there Thursday and Friday even with the new ISP, but after installing the new modem yesterday I tried Spotty today, and it works, perfectly! It must have been something to do with the modem/router, even though Spotty had been working with the old one some time ago. Go figure! Thanks for your help anyway, you did narrow it down to my system.
