Glad you like Squeezelite-X. I bought my first Squeezebox Receiver in
2008. I, too, am sad that Logitech dropped the product line, but I am
very grateful that Logitech still keeps the servers going and that I can
still use my collection of Squeezebox receivers (I have about 5). I am
also very grateful for the work of those that keep Logitech Media Server
going and those that have developed plugins and software players. I
develop software as a hobby. I developed Squeezelite-X initially
because it is something I wanted for myself - a Windows app that
encapsulated the squeezelite player and provided a built-in browser
interface to LMS and that could sit in the tray. Developing it and
distributing it on the Windows Store has been a rewarding experiment and
experience in its own right. Squeezelite-X has surpassed 1000+
acquisitions on the Store, which is about 10 times more than I expected
and that is cool. I am thinking of at least adding a "Donate" button,
which would at least help pay for the development tools cost I incur,
but I just have not yet checked the Windows Store rules on that.
Otherwise, this project runs solely on encouragement, so thank you for
that.
