Hi,

yea, but it seems like it's more than that at play. I have everything at
100% including swyh's slider, and the volume is still very low in
relation to the rest of the players sources (internet radio, flac
files).

I am suspecting (without any real proof or insight) that is is in the
encoding of swyh, or perhaps some windows/soundcard setting/adjustment.
I say that because the system sounds (like the "doink" when opening the
mixer) come through quite loud, but by comparison to another source? not
sure.

I don't really understand the mechanism of swyh, where it gets its data
from and what it does to it before it creates the stream.

I had a thought of using two computers on the same network, matching the
audio volume, run swyh on one, then play the url on the other, and see
if there is a difference. Maybe that idea is flawed, I haven't really
thought it through, but with one computer at this location, its moot ;)

I'll spend a little time tonight digging into it.

Thanks for the input.

Jim
