Thanks for the pointer Michael, which suggests that the vendor either can't or won't keep on top of updates. In the end I decided to install LMS 7.9.2 on my iMac and run it from there. As a result, everything I need works great now including Spotty, iPlayer, Castbridge etc. I wish this had occurred to me months ago but, more to the point, thanks to you and everyone who's working to keep my squeezebox in business--those of us that trail in your wake are immensely grateful.
