Thanks again. It would appear BBC have a fairly cavalier approach to APIs, then? I suppose they are coming at it from the "we've got them, you want them and we aren't under any SLA or obligation to maintain them to an agreed description" point of view. Which I can sort of understand but obviously makes your life harder than it needs to be...
