Well, I don't know German, but I think I get it that that last , 8th, item is the Cancel choice, which I do not have (I only have the 7 choices I mentioned). Yes, I can definitely quit the menu by touching the background outside the menu. OS may be the issue. I have an older iPad and it's most current OS version is 9.3.5. As far as I know, it won't upgrade any further than that.
