If they wanted to protect the main install, all these doofuses would need to do is move the Plugins Directory to a default share on the NAS that is accessible over the network and...PRESTO...you unzip your plugin to the share, reboot the NAS, and you are off an running. It's totally transparent to the main SlimServer install because of the link.
This stuff is NOT rocket science. Ok - hide the firmware and main install to protect it from clumsiness...but let us take advantage of SlimServer please. Using Slimserver without plugins almost defeats the point. Like having a dark chocolate cake with no icing on it. At that point, any other cake will do just as well. -- Laird_Williams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Laird_Williams's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9600 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31874 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
