There is support of DASH (HLS is not supported by YT, they went - no surprise - DASH), that was my most recent addition. The highest audio quality is selected and now only audio is downloaded, at least in case of DASH. I will not make that a user option because it will just create more confusion for no benefit, but under the hood, this is what's happening. LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
