Maybe I shouldn't have used the term "multichannel". The multichannel separation is done in the processor. What's coming in is an ordinary 2-channel stereo signal. The multichannel separation is done based on phase differences. What this means is that as long as the plugin or correction file doesn't attempt to alter (or compensate for) phase, it should work fine. If all it does is EQ, that's ideal.
