Giving this a moment's extra thought (the original post was late at night--that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!), this should really be a generic question not specific to lastfm. A plugin could send any track details to Skype, not just lastfm tracks. Anyway, it's not really a very important issue, the feature in the lastfm player just got me thinking...maybe I should stop that!
