Interesting thread.
I was also sometimes seeing longish delays at the start of tracks. This new release certainly seems better (based on feel rather than any scientific tests). I read the librespot thread. I listen mainly to Classical music and 'track' lengths of 15-20 minutes are not uncommon. I just selected an 18 minute track and it started in about 3-4 seconds with the new Spotty version.
