Yes, that is why I started using it. They have language and policies around privacy, although any commercial entity is suspect at this time :), and they do need to process the voice input using a back end some where. They are working on a private server https://github.com/MycroftAI/personal-backend and I feel their hearts in the right place, as to whether their business model will work that's another story, but it seems analogous as to why I stick with Squeezebox so I think it's a good fit.
