At this stage it looks like it was the "Streaming Method" setting.
Previously I'd set it to "Proxied Streaming" due to my slow Internet connection. If I set the players to "Direct Streaming" Deezer keeps playing fine (for hours). If I switch back to "Proxied Streaming" the songs get cut-off part-way through. Must be something with my new router/network setup that is causing "Proxied Streaming" to have problems.
