The "Bookmark a feed" option in BBCiPlayer uses URL fragment syntax to good effect here, because LMS caches against URL including fragment. Perhaps a similar approach might assist BBCExtra ? Just a thought. Probably not relevant, but another thought I have had was that BBCXMLParser might "promote" Series & Brand pids instead of, or as well as, their textual titles. That could give you a pid based filter rather than a title based filter. That sounds a bit obscure, now I that read it again.
