That’s hopefully true for most people most of the time, but these things
are never quite as simple as they appear.  For example, sadly, there are
ISPs out there that inject adverts into non-HTTPS pages, and this kind
of thing does have the potential to break the screen-scraping done by
this plugin.  Now, I’m not saying this particular issue is affecting
anyone (yet?).  However, rather than trying to imagine all the ways that
things could go wrong with HTTP for every service in existence, it’s
probably easier to just start to switch everything to HTTPS.
