I always knew it was a can of worms - and now you have opened it ! I have looked at that code for ages. IIRC The code was supposed to show the program info if the user skips back to start of a program as BBC provide start time and duration of a program in the "Now" when first played . However if the users pauses and/or skips back/forward arbitrary amounts - it gets hairy as it can be hard to determine what is the timestamp of the audio being transmitted. I thought I had it sorted but it was a pain to test - waiting for ages to get program changeovers. I notice BBC on Web and BBC Sounds now only support skip back to start of program - whereas before on Web you could skip back up arbitrary amounts to 3 hours - and their handling of metadata is also broken out into "Now" & "Recent Tracks". Guess they had similar issues. BTW for any other late readers to this part of the thread - skip back is DASH only. If you are pausing MP3 or HLS stream - I don't know happens - I added metadata intended for "live" only. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
