For DASH - the details are in the DASH MPD for the station and the parameter "timeShiftBufferDepth" - check this morning and it is set for 6 hours. It could be changed by BBC but I suspect not quickly as it would probably require changing server buffer space on multiple regional nodes in the CDN networks.
