ok, so very likely, the issue is with m4a files. This is a really complex case and LMS has a few different ways to send aac (which is what your mp4 file encapsulate, although m4a can host many other formats). My bridge has 2 modes: "thru" and "process". In thru mode, all it does it translating commands between LMS and CC protocols, but the audio is simply passed through. This is the simple mode, but if the CC does not support the (sub) format that LMS is sending, then it fails and playback stops. I've added last year this "process" mode where in addition to commands translation, the audio is decoded by the bridge, re-encoded in a different format and then sent to the CC in a format that can ben always the same (or almost always the same, depending on options you choose). It was really complicated to add, but it solves a lot of issues. When decoding audio in the bridge, I'm able to handle all formats LMS sends. It also gives the benefits of replay gain and cross-fading (including across songs when you choose "flow" mode), but it requires more CPU. Your Windows machine should be able to handle that without any issue, it's only a problem on low-end NAS or old Pi. So in your case, I suggest you go the plugin options and chose a "transcode" mode which is either pcm, flac or mp3. I'm happy personnaly with mp3, but some might feel better with flac (I'm mentionning that b/c CC devices have a funny bug with flac files which would be too long to describe here). The other advanced options, including "flow" mode, I suggest you have a look at the user guide but I think you issues with m4a files will go away when transcode is activated. Just try "mp3" first and see if it works, then you can play with options Cheers, LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2.
