"Stop" doesn't clear the current playlist, it just resets the currently
playing track to the beginning of the track and clears all buffers.

"Power" has three functions: 1. On Squeezeboxes with an integrated amp,
it actually turns off the amp. 2. It switches the SB to the "Power off"
screen saver. 3. If a player is part of a sync group it stops playing
with the other players without dropping from the sync group.

Why do you need to clear the playlist? If you "play" something (as
opposed to adding to the current playlist), it is automatically cleared.
If you usually build playlists and so want to add to a playlist instead
of playing new stuff and therefore use one of iPeng's "add" modes, you
could "hold" a track whenever you want to start a new playlist and
select "play" from the context menu which clears the playlist and plays
that track.
