It is unlikely to affect BBCiPlayer as the data feed is provided for 3rd parties and only 7 days. All the underlying program URL and strcutures are same as Sounds. Sounds seems to be oriented towards podcast so its possible audio quality will be reduced but I think that would be a step too far even for BBC. BBCIplayerExtar and access beyond 7 days will probaly be affected.
