I don't use TIDAL, but my understanding is that TIDAL best quality
streaming is either CD quality (16/44.1) *or* MQA files. The MQA files 
(the "M" you see) are 24/48 but the files can then be "unfolded" so that
they turn into 24/96 or 24/192, etc.  There are software players that
can do the intial unfold of the MQA file (e.g., Roon) but one needs an
MQA capable DAC to do the second unfold.  I believe there are both
inexpensive and expensive DACs that can do the unfold (dragonfly?).

But again, I don't use Tidal and I have zero interest in MQA files.  I
just spend way too much time reading forums that discuss these things.
