Since the metadata is downloaded first, prior to the downloading of the file containing the FLAC tracks, would it be possible to show in the queue the metadata for these tracks? That would be an additional advantage of the Interactive mode.
It's something I've considered doing. But I'd likely have to re-write large parts of the plugin - which I'm not willing to risk at this point.
