Goal: control squeezebox player (Raspberry Pi running server and player) from an android tablet (a cheap Amazon Fire 8HD from Black Friday) and have the same display experience as it is with a SB Touch - show the SB Now Playing (or whatever) whilst playing music; - show clock/screensaver when player is paused So far I've tried using android App Fully kiosk-browser (https://www.ozerov.de/fully-kiosk-browser/). It allows (with the full version) to configure any app/URL to be used as a screensaver. Problem is that it checks for user interaction to decide when the screensaver must be triggered (I need the screensaver not to be triggered when the SB player is playing even if there is no user interaction for a long time; screensaver should be triggered only if player is in pause state). Hence, l started to look into Tasker hoping it would allow me to simulate user touching screen periodically. I don't discard Tasker alone will suffice for my purpose. Next step: find how to let Tasker know whether SB player is playing or paused. PS: to install Google Play Store and Fully kiosk-browser as well as Nova launcher, I've followed instructions in https://www.andrewconnell.com/blog/using-a-kindle-fire-as-a-home-kiosk-for-smartthings-smart-home-monitor/ Regards :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ waldo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19888 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111518 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
