So I tried running LMS in a Docker container on completely different hardware - although I was able to play local music the Spotty stream showed the exact same behaviour - playlists appear, it looks like it should be playing but no sound.
Don't use Docker if you can avoid it. It's just adding another layer of uncertainty, and I've had quite a bit of negative feedback from Docker users. At least for these test please try the simplest setup possible.
