However, it always bothered me that then just audio was streamed. In contrast to this the webstream or normal FM radio always contains nice artist and title information. Sometimes there is also information about the currently running show. At least the German and Swiss DVB-S programs transport some broadcast information this way which is then comfortably shown on the display of the squeezeboxes. The nice thing about my little program is that Shoutcast works with many other streaming clients as well and the implemenation is "standalone" and independent.
