Ah yes, that is entirely possible. I recall quite some time ago playing with file types. I was setting up upnp bridge to use on my receiver. For various reasons it needed to be converted to PCM for that. But only that. As long as that continues to work I can change those file types. I do find those settings a little bamboozling.
