I should perhaps add that in my experience Pi based players don’t roam
very well. If you use the same SSID on all APs and point a Pi at that
what happens when you reboot APs is that the Pi connects to the first
one it sees which could be some distance away and doesn’t move to a
nearer one with a stronger signal when that comes online. Hence a Pi in
my office is set to use MySSID_Office so that it doesn’t accidentally
find itself connected to the one in the house.
