That sorting of special first characters is the same as LMS (see below). Material creates the index list a little differently, i.e. "list shows 3 times a C". Only way to "fix" it is to remove the special character. I don't think there is a CONDUCTORSORT field as there is with ALBUMSORT and ARTISTSORT.
