It is much appreciated.
Could I just echo the sentiment of this post? I too started with a Squeezebox Classic around 15 years ago - I just wanted to listen to a decent radio stream through my hifi. I never thought ripping CD's was ever going to work... I've been through and am still on the marginal roller coaster that using Squeezebox devices entails. From time to time I think about moving to a new infrastructure, but I then look at my devices humming away, lovingly looked after by the vets, medics and triage specialists on this forum - and I'm still 100% SB! Radio 4 is generally on here, Radio 5 when I'm feeling downright radical - although in these difficult Covid times I listen much more to the World Service which gives you the news without the speculation. I have this week - after 15 years! - offloaded LMS to a brand new sparkling, shiny Synology NAS (because they have always supported LMS). All thundering away wonderfully, and having reverted to this amazing forum, have just done a jig in the kitchen as I got my BBC logos back. Thank you so much to the developers here who keep us all ticking over, it is enormously appreciated. Meanwhile, just read that Synology are dropping support for LMS at the end of June 2020, so that went well! I have a naïve faith however that someone far brighter than me will keep me on the air - the Synology 218+has an Intel Celeron processor, does that help me? Big thanks to all from my two SB Touches, my Receiver and the Boom (which mysteriously is exactly an hour out when on LMS but on the correct time on mySB. Off to have a look at that in a mo. Kind regards and stay safe one and all.
