I am also running squeezebox on a Synology NAS. Just had a firmware update, so maybe that broke something with Synology. Sometimes things will play, most of the time they won't. If music starts playing, at some point it will just stop. Most of the time it gives an error about not being able to open the file or not compatible media type or some strange error. I only use chromecast devices as play targets, but just to test I downloaded an app that turns my phone into a squeezebox receiver. When casting to my phone things seem to work fine. I seem to get better results with squeeze2cast-x86-64 vs squeze2cast-x86-64-static. It used to be the other way around, and until the issues started a few days ago -static is the Binary I used for the last year+.
In the logs linked, castbridge was running the -static binary and wouldn't play any of the songs in the queue, each song spat out a can't open file error until it got to the end of the playlist.
