Is this because I'm using four-year-old OSX 10.12 Sierra? I am considering updating to OSX 10.14 Catalina - would that fix this LMS/Spotty problem as well, and avoid the need for the workaround patch? (If I'm about to do the OSX upgrade anyway, maybe this is the stimulus I need!)
