Thanks for the clarification. I can see that what I'd like is a corner
case, with not many people besides me wanting it. And I respect your
lack of "sympathy for a closed source format..." 

Just to be clear: I am tremendously grateful for what you have done with
your AirPlay and UPnP/DLNA bridges. They permit me to play to devices
that until recently I could not. My recently acquired AudioPro C5A
speaker was little more than an expensive brick until I installed and
configured your AirPlay bridge. And I discovered that the Internet
radio/alarm clock next to my bed makes nice with your UPnP/DLNA bridge.
And your bridges find a television or two in my house, but I haven't
tried to do anything with those yet.
