Assuming you're playing some music, does the playback stop when you activate MusicInfoSCR? What I'm interested in is whether you think SlimServer had switched off because it doesn't display anything (which could be a simple problem with MusicInfoSCR), or if SlimServer seriously encounters an unexpected state, breaking more than just the display.
