I have also been planning to patch the standard alarm plugin to list smart playlists configured through Erlands plugins (dynamic SQL, trackstat etc). I mentioned it before, to see if there could be some extension to slimserver or the alarm plugin code to allow other plugins to register smart playlists for alarm selection.
