So, the few Qobuz users get priority, then.
No. But the small number they might be, they showed how only a few people can cause a lot of work. Now imagine I did a similar change in Spotty. Or Craig did in his Material skin. We'd probably have hundreds of mails that day. Not because something was broken, but because people were running outdated software.
The point is that people who complain but don't run the latest code are causing work. They're wasting my and other's time. Because they complain about "issues" which wouldn't be there if they had updated their system. Therefore nobody should be running LMS8 today who did not willingly install it and knew about the consequences of running software under development.
Switching from a default 8 to 7.9.3 is a simple one off routine.
As is the other way around. But it's opt-in, not opt-out for people who probably wouldn't be comfortable doing so. That's a huge difference.
Updating 8 nightly involves many of us grinding through the routine again and again.
I don't get your point. If you choose to run LMS8 then you must be willing to update regulary. You opt in for the hard way. Your choice. That's why we shouldn't throw that task at people who didn't want to choose so.
Just my 2 eurocents worth.
