I use this plugin so that I can view front and back album covers that I keep in my library and it can also view .pdf's or other text you might keep with your music. I disable all the Importer functions because they do slow down the interface. You can still explicitly request album and artist info if you want to see it. In my use case it seems to have no effect on scan times.
