It's neither really, It monitors MC to see what it is playing then
controls Slimserver via the command line to play the same.

I'm not sure about this, can you set up some kind of virtual sound card

I've added Wavpack to the list of valid files. I'm just working on a
problem with someone else, when that is fixed I'll release a new
version that supports Wavpack

Slimserver is doing all the work.

You can't syncronise but if you play something that is not in
Slimserver's library then it will be added to the library.
